Black Bean Hummus

This is extremely delicious, and kinda’ dangerous…

1 – 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup vegetable stock, or water
2 to 3 T tahini
3 cloves garlic
2 to 2.5 T lemon juice
1.5 T soy sauce
salt and cayenne pepper, to taste
pita bread, toasted and cut into wedges (or just buy the cracker version)

  • Process all ingredients except pita bread in a food processor, adding salt and cayenne pepper to taste.
  • Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours for flavors to blend.
